horse apples and decorative cabbage

Horse apples (Osage-orange (Maclura pomifera)) also known as
hedge-apples, monkey orange or brain fruit, and decorative
cabbage, a seasonal plant.
None of my fruits and vegetables are really edible (unless you're a
squirrel), but it's fruit and veggies nevertheless.

Part of the Thursday Challenge.
