Lewis and his two young nephews were grinding and bagging feed corn in the shadow of the barn and silo. It was late afternoon and the light was low and created beautiful shadows. There was corn dust in the air and covered Lewis and everything with a white patina. The scene had the look and feel to it, like I had stepped back in time to another century.
