My husband and I had talked about taking a little holiday this summer to go and tour through the Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park. For a while we didn't think we'd get a chance to go, but the opportunity presented itself so we said "Let's go". We travelled in total 1400+kms over 4 days, leaving from Saskatoon, travelling through Moose Jaw, Assiniboia west, then north to Maple Creek, then over to Elkwater Lake in Alberta. We toured backroads through Cypress Hills opting to stay off the highway as much as possible. The scenery is beautiful, the wildlife amazing, and it was nice just to get away and see someplace different. It amazes me how diverse Saskatchewan is in terms of landscape - those who say it's simply flat haven't travelled the province.
