Linda and I were staying at our Blue Ridge home during Labor Day Weekend. We decided to get out and drive to Lake Nantahala. Since the lake is near 4,000 in elevation it was a very nice day with the temperature in the upper 70's. It was in the low 90's back home in Blue Ridge.

For those who raft the Nantahala but did not know, this is the lake that provides the water to the Nantahala River about 15 miles away via a pipe that transports the water from the dam to the powerhouse on the river. The powerhouse is where all the Nantahala rafters put in for their white water rafting trips.
