Skogskyrkogården - The Woodland Cemetery

The Unesco World Heritage in Stockholm. In 1914 an architectural competiotion was announced for the creation of new cemetery blending in with the local topography and the woodlands in Enskede. Winners were Gunnar Asplund and Sigurd Lewerentz. Over the next 20 years the architects created a landscapes with meditation groves, chapels and plots for graves among the large pines.
