Elephant's Trunk Nebula

The Elephant's Trunk nebula is a concentration of interstellar gas and dust in the star cluster IC 1396 and ionized gas region located in the constellation Cepheus about 2,400 light years away.-Wikepedia


Telescope/camera: Takahashi TOA130S with a QSI532 ws M1, FS60SV and ST402ME as guider.
Mount: Takahashi NJP Temma 2 on a PWT Pinnacle pier.
Exposure: Ha(green)-6.5 Hrs:SII(red)- 7.5 Hrs:OIII(blue)- 8 Hrs
All taken with 30 mins subexposure.
Astrodon Narrowband Filters(6nm).
Software: CCD Autopilot 4.0, MaximDL, CCD Stack and Photoshop CS2.

Taken on September 20 to 24th, 2008 in Jackson, Ohio.
