Actually it proves that, on that blessed 23rd of May in Gent, we had also about 20 minutes of nearly sunny weather.
As always, what is rare seems to be more precious.
We were roaming about the very ancient district of Patershol, totally resigned to the power of pouring rain and suddenly the blue sky came to cheer us up and we felt privileged!
Gent is a wonderful town in all cases, I wonder if we had felt the same impression of tragic and stern beauty, among its dark stones, if we had enjoyed sunny weather a little longer.
Well this picture, frankly ugly, is the only document I have of the only sunshine we had in gent, so I dare to post it.
It shows an ancient children’s home, now transformed in museum.
We skipped the museum, but in its courtyard we found out the most charming, incredible, lovely little café.
A moment of joy!
