We arrived to the main central square, Piazza dei Cavalieri, which was relatively quiet and not overcrowded.
Several carriages waited for tired tourist.
The coachmen played kindly the role of personal guides as well.
We chose to visit the square at our pace.
I suppose at this stage one might wonder why, being in Pisa, we didn't rush to the famous leaning tower, which, by the way is not in the centre of town, but in an enormous square a little on the edge of the historical area...Well, guess why the square of Cavalieri is so calm and enjoyable to visit and where all the tourists are right now...
