Crassier tales

Crassier is a small village of Canton Vaud.

Crassier has about 1000 inhabitants, a small railways station, without any train (once upon a time Crassier had a local railways line, but then it was cancelled, the rails were removed, but the railways station building is still there) a church, two café-restaurants (which we call “Bistro” over here) and some houses.
Crassier is a common village like many others in our Canton, but has a peculiarity of its own: it’s set exactly on the border with France, so it might be consider an example of our “Frontierland”.
When you are in Crassier you can walk just 200 metres away and suddenly you are in France, then you walk back and you are in Switzerland once again.
Obviously there is not any customs control, so you might not notice you are moving from a country to another one either.

There is nothing remarkable to see in Crassier, but it’s a gentle, quiet little village; you might pay it a quick virtual visit.
