Your adventures and stamina are impressive. I also do appreciate your photographs and it is helpful to those considering a visit to these special places to see your beautiful images. My one regret, though, is that in some of your visit to ruins in the Chachapoyas region you are shown holding pottery fragments and relics taken from a cave, while elsewhere you are shown sitting in a niche in the ruins. I'm upset by these images because everyone visiting such ruins should take great care to enjoy them without disturbing anything there. Touching ruins or artifacts or climbing on them shows poor judgment because archeological work conducted later will be impeded, and the condition of the ruins themselves degraded for those who come later. I'm sure you hate to be lectured like this by a complete stranger, but as someone who visits very unusual and special places you have a special responsibility to protect them. Locals will not necessarily behave appropriately around these sites, so you can also inspire in them a proper respect for their heritage and the sensitivity of these locations. Thanks and all the best!

John,

I was very surprised to see one of your Peru photographs. It was very similar to rock art I have photographed in British Columbia.

Hee John,

Hi John Servayge

I have been writing a long message for you, but it didn'appear it on last Monday, it's a pity, may be you have received it.

At first I want to thank your marvelous and unique work, that has no value to pay for it, it's a very, very, very great work. Thanks again.....

What a places you have been photographed, all the unknown ruins of Peru, its astonishing, it leaves without breath impressionant ruins as Yarowilcas buildings, I love Yarowilca culture unknown for us, Chachapoyas ways, the lovely Revash and the cliff tombs (really tombs ?), Hidden Wonders, Ventanillas de Otuzco are incredible, unique in the world, how this people worked the stone and the mountains , the impressionant Guanglic, La Petaca cliff tombs and the andean cross, Shiripata, Yanamarca, Vira Vira, Caral, Bandurrias, Cahuachi.

All the pyramids, Pachacamac, Paramonga, Chan Chan, how many cities before the great deluge by cents are distributed all along the coast and along the north, the south and the west of Peru, it's incredible

Kotosh and the temple of the crossed hands make me think that Jesus was in America too.

Surely you know the theory of Antrophosophist and Teosophist, Rosacrusians, that believe that this land was Atlantis, the antediluvian world or at least a province of Atlantis, for me these constructions confirm all this. These people with the mexicans were part of the third atlantean subrace the Toltecs. After that it comes the fourth subrace the jews that are brothers with the mexican people, it's rather similar the ancient hebrew language with the mayan language. With the jews and the perouvians it comes the celts to Europe, it is said......

These people were great architects, the best of them are everywhere in the world, they were all around the world.

I miss Marcahuasi, a great place with antediluvian ruins and statues made by the man's hand like the face of mars, the egyptian race, the chaldean race, the jewish race, the peruvian race, and animals in stone and other surprises, and Ollantaytambo, and surely Sumaipata and Tihuanaco complex in Bolivia.

I love ancient peruvian music (they were masters in flutes) and it's a little seemed to the celtic music, or the chinese music also, There is a great andean and celtic musician of panpipes to know he is Medwyn Goodall, the best.....

And also you have a very interesant page with the last archeological discoveries in Peru and in Mexicohttp://terraeantiqvae.blogia.com/temas/america.php, these are:

Huaca La Penitenciaria
Sican Temple
Las Chicras Citadel
Yayacuj
Pusharo Petroglyps (incan writing) Paititi
El Zorro Temple ( near Lima)
Huaca Partida
and others

Many, Many, Many thanks of all these marvelous pictures, may be scientists, and also the presse take note of all these incredible ruins.

Hi John
They have found a lot more at Huaca de la Luna & El Brujo since your last visit. The panoramas can be impressive there too. Soon they will have on site museums.

Zeer mooie beelden met grote afwisseling : vergezichten, klederdrachten, planten, landbouw, natuurschoon, geschiedenis, kleurrijke volksfeesten, kathedralen, straatverkoop, vissers, ... niet werd vergeten. Proficiat.

I have just finished reading "The Conquest Of The Incas" by John Hemming (600+ pages, very detailed but I highly recommend it), thought I would see what images were available of all the places mentioned in the book on the internet. What a wonderful surprise to stumble across your fabulous photographs John. I can only say they have finished off completely a wonderful book, bringing it all to life. Many, many thanks for what you have shared with us all.

Thank you for making these available to see. I have an adventurous spirit, which so far I have had to satisfy by reading. The book Antisuyo by Gene Savoy was the source of my curiosity about Peru. I am a gardener who enjoys stonework, but I wouldn't call it masonry. The Incas! My theory is that they made such incredibly tight joints because they didn't want to finish the job! Your pictures are wonderful, especially the light captured within. I love high altitude places, being a native of the Rocky Mountains. I hope to visit Mongolia and other Central Asian countries one day, and maybe someday I will visit Peru also.

I have a question. I plan a 2nd visit to Cuzco. Where is Vilcashuaman located ? What about the fortress of Sondor ? How did you get there from Cuzco ?

Thanks for your help.
