Lincoln is a wonderful little town in the centre of Lincolnshire, England. We finally had the chance to visit it on our way home from a walk through the Lincolnshire Wolds. Though there are some run down areas of the city around and near the train station, the high street has a healthy mix of modern and traditional architecture and shops with a nice canal running through. From there, you climb up 'Steep Hill' towards the Cathedral past quaint little shops and tea rooms, and if you're lucky, musicians and people dressed in Renaissance attire. The cathedral itself is a majestic site to see, especially the interior. Unfortunatley given the time we had, as well as weather and lack of tripod, our shots were somewhat limited, but I did stumble across another pbase member Alastair Ross who has some amazing photos of Lincoln Cathedral at his site. It's definitely a site to see, and the town around it charming and full of character!
