Still blooming

We've had a mild winter so far with just a couple of frosty nights.
I was still surprised to find this periwinkle blooming in the garden.

Interesting shot. The colour is still relatively vibrant but you can see the signs of decay within the flower already, both in terms of a slight fade and of course the decayed parts around the edge.
