DIY Wreath

Inspired by some Halloween themed wreaths which I saw in the flower market yesterday, I decided to make my own.
One wire coat-hanger, some twigs and dried foliage and flowers from the garden, and I've created my own autumnal wreath.
With the exception of Christmas, wreaths are not a common sight in Ireland which is a pity as I think they make a cheery welcome for visitors.

It's very pretty and makes a great colour contrast against the door, but I'm not sure I'd have the patience to make one myself. Most of the visitors that I had in my old place at least tended to be electricity company or telco sales 'driods trying to get me to switch to their company, so I'd probably have been more inclined to see if I could dig up a skull and a couple of bones that I could cross and hang over the door to give the appropriate welcome.

Such satisfaction in making your own and it looks pretty against your blue door...you should gather a few friends together and start a " Hang Some Wreaths " campaign...!!! :)
