Claddagh

Inspired by the weekend challenge 'From the Heart'.
I don't enter the challenges any more as I find it difficult to find the time to catch up with commenting.
This is a Claddagh ring, a traditional Irish design with the heart symbolising love, the hands friendship and the crown loyalty.

I think everyone knows this symbol from Ireland. Nice to know what it means. Great light and exposure. I like the shiny gold and shadow. V.

I bought one of these beautiful rings when I visited Ireland in 1985. Unfortunately, it was lost just one year later. :( Beautiful capture Mairead! VV
