Delivery

We've been doing a bit of shopping on line recently mainly for stuff we can't get locally.
I went round all the local artist supplies' shops but they had a very limited range of pencils and pastels - most of the local artists work in oils or watercolors, so when our son wanted some pastel pencils we had to order them on Amazon.
We placed the order on Monday - they arrived by Thursday so no complaints.

Fun shot! I was excited seeing it. Creative endeavors are the best!

Happy that you found some good pencils for him. Very important tools for the budding artist! Hope you are feeling a little better.

A lovely still life. I like the 'rugged' graphics of the paper in the box. V

I have to shop all the time online too. Looks like a very nice collection of pencils for your son. Great capture of your delivery.

Nothing can beat the frisson of excitement when you get a parcel to open, even if you know the contents.
Lovely light.

You've been luckier than I have with Amazon deliveries. And don't get me started on us not being able to buy photo gear from there at a price several hundred lower than locally, grrr.
There are a lot of interesting "feels" in this; the texture of the couch that the box is sitting on, the cardboard of the box itself and the packing materials, the smooth metal of the tin, all lined up with parallel lines. And of course Toffee is probably impressed that they used a portrait of him (or how he sees himself in his own mind) on the tin too.

Brian's right, now that most of the shops in the uk have closed down, where would we be without Amazon.

I have some of these too. But apparently you cannot use a pencil sharpener for them...

Good ole Amazon, what would we do without them now(?).

Well, they look promising in such a nice box! Is Sean doing artistic projects?

Derwent is a good brand and this is a nice set. My wife uses Derwent, I'm more of a Prismacolor guy myself. :)
