A touch of frost

A heavy frost overnight transformed the countryside.
Foggy for most of the day, the frost hung around for quite a while.
So I had time for a lie-in and a warming bowl of porridge before
venturing out with my camera.
I really liked how the ice-crystals outlined the last leaves of our flowering prune.

This one gets a big thumbs up; the ice crystals make a wonderfully serrated effect (even the ones that are outside the DOF) and the strikingly saturated red stands in such sharp contrast to the iciness of the frost visible on both the leaves and branches. Very well done.
