The String's the Thing

Have you realised that string is the 'in' trendy accessory for kitchen
and cookery styling?
Well, I have to confess I hadn't until I saw it mentioned in a blog. And suddenly I'm seeing string everywhere.
Here it's adding a decorative touch to a tempting seasonal treat - barm brack.

the string and brown paper do suggest something 'old style'...a slice of this would go well with a cuppa..

Yes labels on clothing are either held on with ribbon or string but I've never seen string on a cake! It looks delicious - the cake, not the string ;)

I remember my Grandmother's brown paper and string supply...yes, it's popular again and I like it. The barm brack looks delicious
