I See Cakes

Just a bit of fun with my iPhone. I'm not too sure what to make of the images I take with my iPhone. Are they garish and terrible or fun and funky? I still have to get to grips with the different effects which I can get with the Hipstamatic app - at the moment I don't know how an image is going to turn out until I see it.
There are some photographers here on Pbase putting together interesting galleries using iPhones.
As I seem to spend quite a lot of time in coffee shops (but not as much as I'd like!) I've decided to dedicate a gallery to images taken on the iPhone in coffee shops.

I like it. I'm not sure that I'd want to view a whole gallery of them, but the unusual contrast and colour combination takes a commonplace subject and makes it something different.

For this image it seems to work, gives a very nostalgic feel, which suits the old fashioned cake stand and cake papers.

I don't think there is too much right or wrong in photography these days. Its what you like or the appropriateness of a shot for a given situation.
I like the colour and subject of this one ..... is it straight from the camera, or is there some dodging and burning etc?
