All Tied Up

Finished early today so nipped down to the harbour before collecting my son from school. It was bright, windy and very cold. Everything was quiet, the mussel boats all tied up. Cargo ships no longer come to the harbour since the port company was wound during the summer.

It does look cold and blustery, but you captured great colors and winter's light. Our port has expanded twice in the past two years. Port of Houston is ranked first in the United States in foreign waterborne tonnage (14 consecutive years); first in U.S. imports (20 consecutive years); second in U.S. export tonnage and second in the U.S. in total tonnage (20 consecutive years).

looks a tad brisk there, and perhaps quieter without the cargo ships...a greener development, yet likely at the cost of jobs too..
