The Colour of Winter

Browns and grays are the colour of the Irish winter. Today we had some
wintry sunshine and a pale blue sky. There was a cold wind, and as I've been feeling under the weather for the past few days, I decided that today could be a lazy day, even though it was a precious day off work. Just took Fudge for a walk and chilled out indoors.

The dead plants and barbed wire effectively convey the mood of winter. V

Good composition Mairead. The old flower stems appear to be captured by winter until they can escape again in Spring. Hope you are feeling better. v

The brown plants do indeed suggest winter, and the cold steel and the blue skies add an appropriate chill factor. You've been having a bad run health-wise of late; get well (again) soon!

Nicely composed, I like the harshness of the barbed wire running through the delicate old flower stems.

Simple but beautifully tranquil! v
