Puzzle

I used to take my camera everywhere I went: work, shopping, walking the dog. Then I got fed up carrying it and have started to leave it at home when I think there's no chance of photo opportunities. Which means that in the past week, I've missed the chance to get pictures of two of the candidates standing in the Presidential election later this month. First, was the eloquent Joycean scholar Senator David Norris, facing controversies over letters he wrote seeking clemency for his former partner who was convicted of rape in an Israeli court, and then Dana, who first won the Eurovision Song Contest for Ireland as a schoolgirl in 1970. Of course, I would have had to have the courage to ask them if I could take a photo, so maybe I would have ended up shooting this puzzle after all. Yes, it remains a mystery..

A clever composition to put the puzzle infront of Mankell's books. Superb, no politician could ever look that good!V!

Very nicely associated with your thoughts. I've had similar myself. :-) V

I like your puzzle picture. There is always another chance to photograph people even if one would have been the lovely Dana.

your Olympus E-P1 should be easy to carry everywhere in purse or pocket...still this image ennobles the puzzle, portrayiing it like a modern sculpture with the inspired POV...V

The only mystery is how you manage to get so many good ideas! Very impressive!

I got one of these two years ago, I took it apart and then lost the solution, its still apart two years later.

Maybe it's time to consider a good pocket-sized camera? Then the puzzle becomes "which one??"

Indeed we always think of unsolved puzzles that we create ourselves in the first place! ~V

Oh I bet you would have got their picture.
Either way, this is a fine shot Mairéad.
