Wild and Windy

It was wild and windy as the remnants of hurricane Katia swept across the Atlantic ocean and Ireland today. So far there doesn't seem to have been too much damage apart from some fallen trees and powercuts, particularly in the western counties.
Decided to do something a bit different this evening -not sure if it works but I can always call it an abstract.

I think this works pretty well! You've caught the notion of wind and rain really well here with the blurriness and OoF subject...me like :o)

works well as an abstract, yet also as a concrete vision of the storm's impact.. well done to brave the conditions and portray the ominous atmosphere...worse yet, both autumn and winter are knocking at the door...fasten your seatbelt Mairead...V

It is a telling photo, and I like the effect. Perfect to accompany your story. I hope there wasn't too much injury or damage from the storm. Be safe!

That shows the tail end of Katia well. I tried to do a windy shot tonight and ran out of light.
