Uncut

There's a pass or little grassy lane near our house which gives access to a number of fields. I like walking there, although sometimes in the winter it's too wet to do so. It's peaceful and somewhat overgrown, a good place to spot butterflies and wild flowers. There's a field at the end which has yet to be harvested and a clump of thistles were raising their heads above the crop.

I like this; just that one sharp subject popping up at you out of the frame.

This is just fabulous! Vaguely ominous and threatening with that shadowy monster tree in the background. But you fearlessly forged ahead and captured the perfect image filled with feeling and drama. Congratulations on your success. A job well done!

I love the way the big tree in the background seems to mirror the thistle. Almost, as mother and child. V
