The Samuel Beckett Bridge which crosses the River Liffey in Dublin was designed by Santiago Calatrava and officially opened in 2009 by the then Mayor of Dublin, Emer Costello, whom I went to school with many years ago.
When I bought my D7000 I got a voucher for a free Nikon training course. I thought I might as well go as I am not very diligent at reading manuels. Unfortunately most of the others there had purchased entry level cameras and were pretty much complete beginners so I didn't pick up many tips. Still, I enjoyed my trip to Dublin and my first wander around the city's IFSC developed at the height of the Celtic Tiger. Today it was almost deserted with lots of empty units in the up market shopping centre which forms part of the docklands development.
Now that I'm up to date with my PAD, I'll try to catch up with everyone over the weekend. But first I have to find out if Jedward have brought home Eurovision honours for Ireland.....
