Mist

I went for a drive around the Cooley peninsula this afternoon in search of gates for the monthly challenge. A heavy
mist crept over the mountains spoiling my hopes of catching the 'golden hour' before sunset. If you look carefully
you can see a flock of Lapwings feeding in this field which isn't far from the coast.

The cloud rolling over the hill is superb and seeing the lapwings is an added bonus - we have breeding pairs here, but generally they're declining in numbers.

Nicely caught; the mist almost seems to have a life of its own, reaching out to smother the hill. I can almost feel the chill in the air...
