Cloudbusting

After yesterday's rain and cloudy skies, today brought some welcome sunshine.
It was mild too, although by the time I took this from a hill overlooking Dundalk,
the temperature had dropped and there was a chilly breeze.
Took Fudge to Gyles Quay for a run on the beach and then drove through
the mountains looking for some old gates.
This sky made me think of the wonderful Kate Bush song 'Cloudbusting'.

Great shot Mairead...I remember Kate Bush and still have a couple of vinyls of hers. The music video of
this song was quite avande garde at the time I recall. V

It's wonderful when you get these; the cloud hides just enough of the sun to prevent exposure problems, yet reveals enough of it to create these radial light effects.

I love this image. It's a bit like knocking on heaven's door and the instead of bells ringing you get the answer in these beautiful rays of light. A true gift to the gifted photographer.
