We've had about 24 hours of non-stop rain at this stage. Students at one Dundalk school were
send home this morning after the school was flooded when rain seeped under a roof which was
being repaired. Several streets around town are flooded and one hapless motorist got stuck after
driving into deep flood waters.
I had planned on getting some nice shots of the Cooley Mountains when I heard I was going to
cover a launch at the Racecourse this lunchtime. The mountains were hidden behind a curtain
of rain, so this was the best I could manage and stay dry at the same time.
