Wilting

I love sunflowers and can never resist the temptation to buy a bunch
when I see them in the supermarket. They bring some added colour
into the house which is especially needed this summer when sunshine
is sadly lacking.
Felt a bit wilted myself yesterday after a weekend of entertaining
the in-laws. Staying up until 3am doesn't agree with me any more!

I love sunflowers too. I always associate them with the waning of summer. This is a gorgeous photo, very well done. VV

Must be a northern summer thing; I've noticed sunflowers in a number of the recent galleries as well as a few in my favourites. This snapshot ties well to the story, and the tight focus /shallow DOF works well particularly in this context; a case of "less is more". I'm sure that Van Gogh would have been proud enough of this one to lend you an ear. So to speak.
