When I started out PADing I had our neighbours' hens pencilled in as 'a rainy day' shot,
one that I could grab on my lunchbreak when there were no other photo opportunities.
But as I observed them I realised that they never came within shooting distance at
lunchtime. I don't know what they do around midday, but they certainly don't wander
close to the gate where I could get a nice clear shot of them. So, although I intended
posting a picture of some of the cute newborn lambs I couldn't resist the temptation
to give this Rhode Island Red her 15 minutes of fame. And I also discovered it's darned
hard to shot hens given that their heads bob up and down as they walk. I had lots
of frames with just grass in it where a second previously there had been a hen!
