It was snowing when we went to bed last night but the morning sun soon melted
the dusting of snow so I knew that I'd have get in the car and drive somewhere
if I was to capture any snowy landscapes.
I've been lazy about going out and about to take photographs lately. And while
you won't catch me going on dawn expeditions in sub-zero temperature, I
thought it was time to venture away from the confines of home.
As I drove towards the port of Greenore I could see the interesting light
coming through the clouds above The Mournes, those mountains made famous by
the songwriter Percy French.
There was the usual gathering of sun afternoon drivers parked along the shore.
All sitting in their cars, looking at the sea.
