What more could I want than to find myself in a Winter Wonderland on Christmas Day?
Yes, I know it sounds cliched, but when we trudged along the packed and slippery snow
trodden footpath from my mother-in-law's house to the 'nature reserve' which has been
created on a rather sad piece of post-industrial land, I was hoping to get some nice
snow shots. However, after carefully sliding down the path I wasn't prepared for the Winter
Wonderland which greeted us. It was like finding oneself inside a snow globe as fog
blurred the edges of the parkland, creating a mysterious mood. All that was missing was
'Lara's Theme' from Dr Zhivago and all my romantic dreams of a White Christmas would have
come true.
