Glancing out the kitchen window as I put the kettle on to boil this morning, I noticed a faint pick glow coming from behind the mountains to the north east. So, having popped my porridge in the microwave, I grabbed the camera and went outside. Sure enough, the sun was rising in a blaze of gold and crimson. So, I shot a few frames and went inside to make sure that the son was also rising. Peeping out the window again, I could see deeper pink hues so I went back
out to see this most amazing sunrise colouring an expanse of sky. For once I'd captured my PAD before I'd even had my breakfast.
It's doubtful that I will see the sunrise tomorrow as I'm going out on our works Christmas party tonight. I am really looking forward to it as the people I work with are more than colleagues - they have become dear friends over the years. It will be the first time we've all been out together since a number of them were made redundant or transferred to another office earlier in the year so it will be really good to meet up again.
