I wish I could, like this clock, make time stand still. There never seems to be enough time, enough hours in
the day to do all the things I want. Sometimes there's barely time to take a photograph, hence today's rather sad
offering.
Of course, the picture I wanted presented itself at the wrong time, when I had no time. I was just putting on my coat, going out the door to work this morning, when I looked out the window and saw a pheasant sitting in the rough grass in the back garden. Naturally, I didn't have a zoom lens on my camera and didn't have time to get it, so the picture I got through the window isn't worth posting. I am hoping that the pheasant might come back again. A number of them seem to have been released by a local gun club and I've spotted several of them over the past week but this was the closest one had come to our house.
I sometimes wish I was one of those people like Maggie Thatcher who famously don't need much sleep. I think of how much I could do if I wasn't slumbering for seven or eight hours a night. I could learn to use photoshop, I could read all those books piled up in the bookcases, I could listen to music, maybe even do the housework.
