This is a film negative and slide converter to digital. It has a
7MP digital camera with fixed focus inside. Can reproduce BW or Color-Slides-Negatives. The quality isn't
that of a flatbed scanner (especially at 100%), so would leave a flatbed to scan anything to be printed..or have a
scanning service do it with a drum scanner. The quality is OK for the net, or for viewing photos
on a computer (which a lot of us do) The converter is very fast, and not too expensive with 6 brightness levels . I did
2000 negatives in about 3 days in a very leisurely fashion. The correcting the color shifts in Photoshop
is another matter...best to set up an action to do so, and leave it somewhat adjustable...since it seems the older the roll of film is, the more it needs.
Mine were shifted to red, so in "selective color" I adjusted the reds a bit to cyan, but as I say remember to test and adjust each roll.
This also has a TV output, and an SD card slot for memory. It can be used as a stand alone, or hooked up to your computer.
To be honest, If I would rather not adjust color balance, think this wouldn't be the thing, or if not having the full version of Photoshop/Lightroom to set
up an action for color correction. It would be very tedious to do 'one at a time' if a person were to convert many.
The plan is to start developing B&W negatives and use this..then if any turn out well, scan them in with the flatbed for printing.
The later/last photos in my film gallery (in room 1) are done with this...
