Shown Here is me with my " Jansport Sponsored T_Shirt" at end of Pacific Crest Trail after hiking 194 days from Mexico to Canada ( April 2nd To Oct. 11th 1977) Actually one of the first few dozon to do so at the time. Today the trail is a much different trip. People hike the 2,638 miles faster and carry much lighter packs. In 1977 , the trail was far from complete and more like a CDT thru-hike. Information was nowhere near what it is today. Hikers wrote lots of " Post Cards" to stay in touch.......
