Yellow Wolf( Died 1935 and fought along side Chief Joseph

Yellow Wolf acually did make it to Canada when Chief Joseph Surrendered after 5 months of fighting and only days from the Canadian Border . Yellow Wolf was wounded 5 times in battle and became a chief when he killed a soldier hand to hand and took his rifle. Photo here is of a much older warrior who our goverment screwed over in ever way. Government even later took half the Resevation land back from today's Colville Res.

In answer to Jola, He has his head down and looks the way he does for the same reason you will not see a picture of Chief Joseph not looking about the same as also the same for those horrible boarding school pictures of the children, they have lost their souls. They are just hollow beings. I am a Shaman I know these things, one of the jobs of a Shaman is soul retreaving. I had to retreave mine once, I know what it feels like to be hollow.

Wondering what made Him pose like this, with His head and eyes down? He is soooo sad!
Monte, this photo is very, very impressive. Thanks for bringing it back into life.
