Thanks for a wonderful look at a remote region and its now marginal history. I was especially glad to see all the references to "The Cremation of Sam McGee," and wouldn't have minded more pictures. Back in Cub Scouts, a half century ago, our den did a reenactment of the tale, with me narrating; I went back to my old (Vermont) high school's talent show 30 years later dressed as a Yukon prospector and retold it,, and brought down the house. Gold is malleable, but remains gold.

Thanks for the pictures.I have been to the country twice by motorcycle 8,000 + each time. I live near Olympia, Wa. Aug 09- Just bought a new KLR 650 and you know where I will be going next summer. (Ross River, Dawson City, Eagle, and ???)Those who want to do the trip, I budget about $100 per day and I am gone at least 25 to 30 days.
