Glacier Ice Is Melting Away ( For Whatever Reason ) SOme Say It Only In 90 Year Cycles With Sun Spots ) Other Say Autos, Etc. . Reguardless, I always say " A Mountain Without A Glacier, Isn't A Mountain, It's Only A Peak. Here Are Just A Few Photos Of Glacier Ice From Over The Years Of Hiking And Climbing Around A Bit.

Monte,
i made it into Colchuck Lake back in 1959 when you had to bushwhack & crawl over many logs to get to the lake. The trail was hardly there. i took a photo with my Kodak 828 and later Margaret, my wife, did a pencil sketch of it for a brochure for the Alpine Lakes Protection Society of which I later became the Wenatchee chapter president. Without the clubs efforts we would not have an Alpine Lakes wilderness.
You have fabulous shots of the high country & I admire your ability to hike & climb to get these great photos.
Since my knee problem I have dropped out of back packing. We must get together & talk sometime.
