Barns, Farms and Cabins of the Past

Barns , Cabins and Farms are all part of a fading piece of history here in the USA as we are losing our slow pace way of life to becoming a " Paved Walmart Culture" and people are becoming more self centered and only find pleasure in shopping at the next Super Store whether it's Walmart, Home Depot, etc. The old building here are all part of " The Old Better America that Was". Pavement is for the dead, for nothing grows or lives where it is laid....... Proverbs 78:34 Hiker's Bible....

Gets tougher all the time to find an old barn that has not been sided with corregated metal or torn down and replaced with a steel building. They are rapidly disappearing. I enjoyed your gallery Monte. Kudos, Ron

I like this gallery - alot of atmosphere in these old buildings. We don´t see anything like this in Denmark - there is very few places where thing are just left by themselves, nearly every inch is organised.

Wonderful Gallery! We both seem to have a sentimental feeling for these old structures. I have an entire gallery called "vanishing traditions" devoted to barns as well as a calendar and book. Great work!

Great gallery. So many of the old barns I have photographed are no longer there or have new homes all around them. "I bet my oldest barn is older than yours" ;-) Seehttp://www.pbase.com/fredparsons/boulderville_farm part of the barn was built in the late 1700's !!!!! Again, great images - gettem before they are gone
