WInter Snowshoeing Along The Pacific Crest Trail

Most people think of the PCT as a "Summer Hiking Trail ",, but winter is also a great time if you are equipted to go. The trail north of " WHite Pass " in Washington is perfect with great views of the Goat Rocks as well as " Mt. Rainier "... A good tent,, shovel,,inflating ground pad and warm down sleeping bag make this trip a pleasure. Also taking a " Sled Along " is great to allow you to carry more gear, food, lanterns,, ( Beer ???? ) or whatever.....

I am presently gearing up to hike from Snoqualmie Pass South to OR. I would greatly appreciate conversing with someone who has experienced winter snowshoeing on the PCT South of Snoqualmie Pass or in the Cascades in general on multi-day outings. Great set of inspirational pictures. Thanks.

This is a great "story telling" gallery. Nice photos too. I've day-hiked parts of the PCT in Washington. It never occured to me that anyone hiked it in Winter.
