I got this Japanese-made telescope when I was 12. It was purchased
from Lafayette Radio Electronics in 1968. It featured an alt-azimuth mount
and came with 12.5mm and 25mm eyepieces. The original finder was essentially
a 1X pointing tube. I later purchased a 6x30 finder and a 2X Barlow, both from Edmund Scientific.
In 1994, I had the mirror re-silvered. The scope served me until 1998,
when I gave it away to another youngster who, at the age of 12, kept his
eyes on the skies, just like I did at his age.
At least I made my bed for this shot!
