Morning view of a vertical lift truss bridge on the Illinois River in Ottawa, Illinois.
Originally built by the Chicago Burlington and Quincy Railroad in 1898
(to replace an earlier, 1871 vintage bridge), the vertical lift was added in 1932.
The Illinois Railroad now runs a daily freight on this line, connecting Streator with Montgomery, Illinois.
