I have three maps of the abbey and they don't all describe the purpose of this room.
It has several windows facing east and a couple of fireplaces. It is 71 feet long and 13.5 feet wide.
Siobhán O'Sullivan's Illustrated history of Quin Abbey explains that this room was the refectory,
where monks ate their meals along long wooden tables.
The room now serves to hold many tomb memorials.
