Excellent photos. The shots taken of 1638 with the 360 degree lens show that the loco will easily negotiate the tight curve of the proposed triangle!

Some inventive stuff here, though I think you're trying to bit too hard to be different. Being different all the time can end up looking much the same. Personally I'm a huge fan of Ed Hurst's work, which I think it beautifully composed and visualised...

Not sure of the ultra wide angles but the others are different and I like them. There are too many bog standard three quarter front views on the web site. Some other authors really ought to look in all four corners of their view finders and review what they are going to do at the visualisation stage before the train arrives and the shutter is fired. fences in front of wheels or jsut portraits of the loco(s) are repetitive. It's nice to try and get stam in the landscape or threeqaurter rear going away shots or capturing the human element too. I even find Ed Hursts' stuff boring. Oh if you think I'm being hard, try my experience of having a steam photo judged by someone who knows nothing about steam in front of an audience of 200 when your photo is blown up onto a cinema screen. When the judging panel give you a 19 or a 20 then you know you're on the way to a winner. It seems to me that many of the photters who have gone digital are losing the art of taking it slowly. one good pictuire is infinately better than three mediocre ones which fail to capture the optimum moment.

Keep up the good work. It's good to see someone having a go at something different. Take pictires that you like to do, that way you enjoy it even more. leave the bog standard stuff to Ed Hurst and Co. Photography is art :-)
