SEPTEMBER 27

Sugar Land TX

Big giant Tomato Worm.
Something has been eating my Moon Lily. I found the culprit, a big 4 inch Tomato Worm.
He was on the underside of the stem, hiding. I thought I would include the pencil for scale. As you can see, he is half the length of it.

Une composition pleine de fantaisie, c'est excellent.

Wow, that's a pretty impressive caterpillar. Good idea to use the pencil for scale too. V

You didn't.... Please tell me you didn't.... Dan had an opportunity to run over our veggie garden mouse with the lawnmower but he didn't have the heart to take it's little life....
It took me a while to locate the tomato worm because it is soooooo well camouflaged! :)

I had to look twice to see him. So well camouflaged this huge, fat worm! Great capture Lynn!

They are amazing caterpillars, and very well hidden. Poor guy... I wish they'd eat something other than tomatoes, something like weeds!
