Day 15 ~ Levee Gate, No Motor Vehicles Allowed

Sugar Land TX

One of our interior levees. The levee systems are complex and crisscross throughout Sugar Land.
The more levees between the homes and the Brazos River, the cheaper the homeowners insurance cost.
The levees are open to the public for walking and bicycles.
ALL of the trees in this photo are Pecans.

You are well prepared for the river to overflow then?
Can you go pick the pecan nuts off the trees to eat?

All these poor cows must be electrified between all these pylons, Don't you think ? ;-))
Mairéad16-Jan-2011 20:03
What a lot of pylons!

I like how they did that. With it being so flat and the flooding issue, these help a lot! Well shot! Good luck with your Spring cleaning!
