What's your view of Wal-Mart?

Wal-Mart Rt. 460 Roanoke, VA

January 07, 2005

Ok here is the deal. We all know, in America and some other places in the world, that Wal-Mart is accused of being the root of all evil. The kind of Evil that moves into town and shuts down Mom and Pop dollar stores that just sold crap that no one wanted anyway in the trade off for Mom and Pop we get mass merchandising and wholesale prices. Yes we have all sold our souls and turned our backs on Mom and Pop stores in exchange for a few extra minutes of convience to spend more time with our family, computers, pets, children and PaD projects!

So today I was in Roanoke, VA visiting my family for my Grandmothers 84th birthday, and I was getting some party supplies, and upon leaving the house of evil (Wal-Mart) I noticed something. Something nice about this Wal-Mart (or evil depending on your point of view) that this Wal-Mart on Rt. 460 in Ronaoke, VA had the BEST view from its parking lot!

So I have decide to start a gallery for everyone to post their "view" of Wal-Mart. Here are the rules. Take a photo from within the bounds of your local Wal-Mart's FRONT PARKING LOT taken from the perspective that you are walking out of the Wal-Mart and show us what you see while heading back to your car. Also you should include some proof that you are actually in a Wal-Mart parking lot, like the shopping cart above of the Wal-Mart parking lot sign.

The photo I am posting was taken at the end of this Wal-Mart's parking lot with my back to the front door, so that way we just don't have to see a parking lot full of cars.

If you would like me to host the image for you I would be glad to so. Just post a link here to your image and I will copy it to the "Your View of Wal-Mart" gallery and also link to your site weither you keep your image up or not.

I hope this turns out to be fun and we come up with some nice images.

The gallery I am hosting can be found here. http://www.pbase.com/lundy/whats_your_view_of_walmart
