ice at the pond ~ January 17th

Having the day off I went down to the pond near the house, thinking it would be a good place to get an image. I think I got an interesting shot but it was 20 something degrees F and there was a strong wind. I didn't have gloves....stupidity on my part.... and I felt frozen within 2 minutes. Couldn't stay any longer, since I was so unprepared. So on this partly cloudy, partly sunny day, this is what I came up with.

Panasonic DMC-FZ1
1/60s f/2.8 at 55.2mm iso75 full exif

other sizes: small medium large auto

Very cool - no pun intended. I've done the sans glove shoot too. Numbs your hands in about 5 minutes.

What an excellent composition you selected out of all that stuff. Interestingly arranged and beautifully exposed.

Since it only takes a puff of wind to make me shiver, I can imagine how you felt. You get a pbase medal for effort, Lori :>)

It is a nice shot; I really like the shapes of the ice. Now go warm up!
