Hi, Lori! I have really learned a lesson from your photos that i need to learn how to take a picture of anything around and make it beautiful in it. That is a great art not so easy to be acquired. thanks for letting me know that through all your photos.

I was looking at some of your images taken with the Panasonic DMC-FZ1, and was very impressed. I currently use a Nikon D-70, and that will continue to me my main camera. However, there are times when it is nice to have a small camera just to have on hand at all times. What is your overall impression of the camera? I understand that there is no aperture or shutter controls. How do you get an f2.8 image if the camera wants to use f6.3 for example? Or how do you get a speed of 1/500 if the camera wants to shoot at 1/250? What attracts me to this camera is the 12X optical zoom, and image stabilisation. I know how handy those two features can be.

You mentioned concerning my Sky Gallery how many were in greyscale. Well, I worked most of my life as a journalist/photographer, and all of that was in B&W. I worked in several darkrooms producing B&W pix. So, they are important to me. Somehow, I think B&W gives a completely different feeling than color. With digital, I've had to take a new look at both B&W and color. It is so difficult to get a good B&W print from digital. A web pic is easier. Anyway, thanks for noticing and commenting.
