The June issue of Popular Photography had an article telling how to shoot this image so
I thought I'd give it a try. I was pretty happy with how it turned out except I didn't
quite get the mirror image caused by the water in the glass aligned exactly right with the
image above the water line. I also needed the camera a bit lower so you don't see the rim
of the glass in the background.

If you're interested in giving it a try, you'll need a diffused light source behind the
wine glass. In my image, I used a studio light with a soft box attached. That is what's
producing the white light in the background. Then I put a piece of black construction
paper over the light and that produces the black area on the right. The wine glass is
about half full of water and was placed about 8 inches in front of the light. It's really pretty simple.

I took the image in my basement so I didn't have any other lights reflecting off the glass.
